Work Beautifully. Finally.

The McAlister-Leftwich Studio

A thoughtfully designed co-working space in Greensboro built for freelancers, creatives, and the people who do their best work in a room that actually inspires them.

More Than a Desk

Interior room design with wooden and woven furniture, small round tables, two beige chairs with cane backs, a green cushioned chair, and a wooden sideboard with a potted plant. Floor plans and measurements are visible in the corner.

Spaces with Soul

Every room at ML Studio is designed with intention: warm materials, natural light, and the kind of atmosphere that actually makes you want to show up.

Because where you work shapes how you work.

Collection of modern furniture including a white sideboard, two pink velvet chairs, a white sofa, a round wooden coffee table, a patterned area rug, a small side table with yellow flowers, and a black side table, arranged on a beige background.

A Community Worth Belonging To

ML Studio brings together freelancers, creatives, and independent thinkers who inspire each other without even trying.

This is a place to belong, not just a place to be.

A collage including a floor plan labeled 'Room 2', a workspace with a wooden desk, white office chair, two computer monitors, desk lamp, and decorative rug; a beige shelf with decorative objects; and a cozy seating area with a white armchair, wooden side table, and potted plant.

SOMETHING WE'RE EXPLORING

We know childcare is often the biggest barrier to a dedicated workspace. We're actively exploring an on-site babysitting option so you can focus while your little ones are close by. Sign up and let us know if this matters to you — your voice shapes what we build.

Join The Interest List

This isn't just a co-working space. It's something better.

Stylized text logo that reads "Love Studio" with a script font and a decorative flourish extending from the "L".

ML Studio started with a feeling most creatives know well — the loneliness of working alone in an industry that looks collaborative from the outside but often isn't. We wanted to change that.

We set out to build a space where the light was good, the furniture was beautiful, and the people around you were doing interesting things. A place for freelancers, independent creatives, and solo entrepreneurs who deserve more than a coffee shop table — and who deserve to feel less alone while they do their best work.

This is that place.

This is Phase 1. We're opening our doors and we're inviting the community to shape what comes next.

The Space

Four distinct rooms, a shared lounge, and a downstairs gathering space — all designed around natural materials, warm textures, and the kind of quiet that actually lets you think. Jute rugs. Rattan chairs. Sage green walls. Arched shelving. Every detail chosen on purpose.

The Community

We're building for freelancers, photographers, writers, designers, and independent professionals who've outgrown the coffee shop but aren't ready for a traditional office. If that sounds like you, you're exactly who we had in mind.

Childcare

We know that for many creatives, the biggest barrier to a dedicated workspace isn't the cost, it's childcare. We're actively exploring an on-site babysitting option so you can focus while your kids are close by. Sign up and tell us if this matters to you - your input will directly influence whether we make it happen.

Our Spaces

Living room interior design with wooden furniture, green chairs, round woven rugs, a table with a vase, kitchen chairs, and a wall plan in the background.

The Studio

The heart of ML Studio. Two round tables anchored by jute rugs, rattan chairs, and deep green velvet seating make this the most social room in the space. It is the kind of place where you come to work and end up in the best conversation you've had all week. A bar-height counter runs along one wall for those who think better standing up.

A modern workspace with a wooden desk, dual monitors, white office chair, beige patterned rug, white bookshelf with decorative items and books, and a floor plan of Room 4 in the background.

The Corner Office

Four private desks angled into the corners of the room, each with its own breathing room. A standing desk option, open shelving, and a vintage rug underfoot. For the solo worker who needs their own world within the larger one.

A collage of a room layout, a wooden desk with two monitors and a white office chair, a wooden bookshelf with decorative objects, a beige and white lounge chair with a small table, and a potted plant.

The Workshop

Four dedicated desks, warm wood, a Persian-style rug, and a lounge chair tucked in the corner for when you need a change of posture. This is the room for getting things done - focused but never cold, with an arched bookshelf that makes it feel more like a well-loved study than a corporate office.

Living room with a white sideboard, two pink chairs, a beige sofa with pillows, a round wooden coffee table, a patterned rug, a small black side table, a white side table with yellow flowers, and a gold side table.

Upstairs Landing

Not a room, exactly, more of a moment. Dusty rose chairs, an ornate mirror, a sofa, and a coffee table that invites you to linger. The natural go-to for a client meeting, a phone call that needs privacy, or just a change of scenery mid-afternoon. Intimate enough to feel separate from the floor, open enough to feel alive.

Interior design elements for Room 3, including a floor plan, two computer desks, a white office chair, a patterned rug, a lounge chair with a small side table, and a potted plant.

The Quiet Room

Smaller, stiller, and intentionally so. Room 3 is for the days when you need to disappear into your work. A handful of desks, minimal distraction, and the kind of quiet that's hard to find anywhere else in the city.

The Board Room

A privately bookable meeting room available to members and non-members alike. Beautifully appointed, AV-ready, and designed for the meetings that actually matter like client presentations, creative reviews, or the occasional deep-focus session away from the floor.
